Dr. Koji Abe is 65 years old man, and is currently Head of National Center Hospital, National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry (NCNP) in Tokyo, Japan. He has long been Professor and Chairman of Neurology at Okayama University Medical School in Japan. He graduated Tohoku University School of Medicine (M.D.), and then got Ph.D. title from Tohoku University under direction of Professor Kyuya Kogure. Professor Koji Abe has been publishing more than 850 papers on stroke, cerebral blood flow and metabolism, and neurodegenerative diseases. His research interests cover many important fields of neurology especially in the mechanism of ischemic brain damage, gene and stem cell therapy, neuroprotection, and neuroimaging. He was the past president of the International Society of Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism (CBFM), and organized World CBFM meeting in Osaka in 2007 and Japan Neurology Meeting, where more than 8,000 neurologists come join in Okayama City in 2020. He also served Presidents of both Vas-Cog Japan and Vas-Cog Asia societies. He is now Head of National Center Hospital of Neurology and Psychiatry (NCNP) in Tokyo, and managing many national projects for neurology and psychiatry and for basic neurosciences and clinical studies.

Hee-Joon Bae is a Professor of Neurology, Seoul National University College of Medicine and Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. And, on 2016, he was commissioned to be a Chair of Regional Cardio-cerebrovascular Disease Center of Gyeonggi-province, designated by the Korean Government.
He graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine and was trained as a stroke neurologist in Seoul National University Hospital. He got a PhD degree in Preventive Medicine in Korea University, in 2003 and worked as a post-doctorial fellow in University of Illinois at Chicago, between 2004 and 2005.
Professor Bae’s researches are focused on (1) the acute treatment and epidemiology of stroke; (2) stroke systems of care; and (3) vascular cognitive impairment.
He is currently deeply involved in the governmental policies related to stroke systems of care and also the current president of the Korean Stroke Society.
His commitment is to dedicate himself to improving outcomes, including cognition, of stroke victims -

Professor Oh Young Bang is the Professor in the Department of Neurology at Samsung Medical Center, Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine in Seoul, Korea, where he is also Professor at Samsung Advanced Institute for Health Sciences and Technology.
Now he is also CEO of S&E bio which develops stem cell-derived exosome therapies for incurable diseases.
Professor Bang maintains active preclinical and clinical programs on stroke, with interests centered on neuroimaging, risk factors and biomarkers, and stem cell therapy.
He holds 25 patents and has published more than 300 peer-reviewed SCI/SCIE articles and a number of book chapters. In addition, Professor Bang has participated in several international clinical trials and has been an invited speaker and lecturer at international conferences.
Professor Bang has served on the editorial boards of the Stroke (2010-2015 and 2022~), J Stroke (since 2013), J Clin Neurol (2006-2014), and Cerebrovascular disease (2016-2019). He is editor in chief of Precision and Future Medicine (since 2018). -

Dr. Buck is a stroke neurologist at the University of Alberta Hospital (UAH) and an Associate Professor in the Division of Neurology in Edmonton Canada. He moved to Edmonton in 2017 after completing stroke fellowship training at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Buck has led several clinical stroke trials at the University of Alberta and was the principal investigator for the recently completed PerDiem study which compared strategies to detect atrial fibrillation after stroke. He is also currently co-PI with Dr. Bijoy Menon on the Canadian Health Institutes of Research funded “ACT trial” comparing tenecteplase with Alteplase for acute stroke under 4.5 hours. The ACT was just published and had led the way for a shift from alteplase to tenecteplase in Canada. Dr. Buck’s other research interests include developing a novel EEG-based strategy to improve the prehospital detection of stroke.

Director of Academic Conferrals. Prof. Butcher is a clinician scientist who has dedicated his career to improving
treatment and outcomes in stroke patients. Prior to relocating to Sydney, he was a tenured Professor at the
University of Alberta where he held a Canada Research Chair in cerebrovascular disease. He has held continuous
salary and grant-in-aid funding related to stroke research since 2006 and has more than 200 peer reviewed

Professor Bruce Campbell is a consultant neurologist, Head of Neurology and Stroke, Royal Melbourne Hospital. He is a Professor of Neurology in the Department of Medicine, University of Melbourne, an honorary professorial fellow at The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health and a fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Science. His research interests are focused on the imaging and treatment of acute stroke and he was co-principal investigator and medical co-ordinator of the EXTEND-IA and EXTEND-IA TNK multi-centre randomised trials published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2015 and 2018. He is Chair of Clinical Council and a director of the Stroke Foundation and co-chairs the Australian stroke “living” guidelines working party. He has been an inaugural member of the Victorian stroke telemedicine project and is the co-ordinator of the National Brainschool education program for Australian and New Zealand neurologists in training. -

Dr Chan is currently the Director of Neurology Department (2021~)and Stroke Center (2018~) at Taipei Medical University-Shuang Ho Hospital, Associate Professor of Taipei Medical University (2020~), and the Director of Cerebrovascular Department at Taipei Neuroscience Institute (2018~). Dr Chan is an experienced stroke neurologist focused on the neurovascular ultrasound monitoring, neuro-critical care and patient education. Besides, Dr Chan is also participate in stem cell therapy from bench to bedsides. He is appointed as the Executive Director Board of Taiwan Stroke Society (2020~), Taiwan Stroke Association (2018~), and the Secretary General of Taiwan Neurocritical Society. He established the Acute Stroke Network (2018~) in New Taipei City to facilitate the regional endovascular thrombectomy in Northern Taipei. Dr. Feng-Hang Chang is a Professor in the Graduate Institute of Injury Prevention and Control at Taipei Medical University, after receiving her post-doctoral training in the Health and Disability Research Institute at Boston University during 2013-2014. Dr. Chang has a clinical background in occupational therapy. She received her Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences from Boston University, her MS in Health Policy and Management from National Taiwan University School of Public Health, her BS in Occupational Therapy from National Taiwan University. Dr. Chang’s areas of interest include research focusing on rehabilitation outcome measurement development and investigating community living and societal disparity in people with disabilities. She serves as a Principle Investigator on several large research projects related to investigating the functional outcomes among rehabilitation patients at post-acute and chronic stage. She has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and national and international conference presentations in health and rehabilitation areas.

From 1995, Dr. Chang is an active stroke neurologist who is specialized in acute stroke treatment, acute care,
subacute care and longterm care service.
From 2011 to 2012, Dr. Chang was the principal investigator established the Post-Acute Care service program for
stroke patients founded by the National Health Insurance Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Taiwan.
From 2014, Dr. Chang is the member of Longterm Care Promotion Committee, City Government, Kaohsiung City,
Taiwan, helping to improve the care service of the city.
Dr. Chang has been the leader of coordinated stroke care of 40 hospitals in southern Taiwan serving 3 million
inhabitants.
Dr. Chang serves as reviewer and guest editor of several renowned high-ranking scientific journals.
Dr. Chang has been nominated as one of the best doctors in Taiwan. -

My name is Chang Yu-Ming and I am a neurologist in National Cheng Kung University Hospital (NCKUH). I graduated from medical school of National Cheng Kung University and devoted myself in the field of neurology since then. After completing residency, I kept on working in NCKUH as a visiting staff in neurology department and put my efforts in the field of stroke treatment and medical education. I had accomplished the training certification of endovascular thrombectomy(EVT) from Taiwan Stroke Society. I had a few studies published regarding to stroke these years which were aiming at pre-EVT image evaluation and educational effects of acute stroke management. Nowadays, I’ve been putting my interests in hyper-acute stroke transferring system; virtual reality assisted acute stroke training and kept honing the skills in EVT management.

Dr. Yu-Wei Chen graduated from Department of Medicine, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan and got Ph.D. Degree in Department of Computer Science and information Engineering, National Central University, Taoyuan, Taiwan. He had been trained as a Resident in Department of Neurology, National Taiwan University Hospital and as a Research Fellow in Stroke Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, MA, USA.
Dr. Chen is now Deputy Director of Neuroscience Center in Landseed international Hospital, Taoyuan and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Department of Neurology, College of Medicine, National Taiwan University.
Dr. Chen is an active member of Taiwan Stroke Society and participated many multicenter clinical studies, including Taiwan Stroke Registry. He served as Secretary General in 2019-2021 and is a council member.
Dr. Chen is specialized in acute stroke treatment and analysis of neuroimaging, including automated segmentation of acute infract and white matter hyperintensity and its clinical application. He developed a wearable device-assisted stroke rehabilitation system. These innovations got several patents in Taiwan and the USA, as well as international awards, including Silver Medal Award in Taiwan Innotech Expo in 2022 and Gold Medal in International Warsaw Invention Show in 2021.
Dr. Chen organized the Stroke Center in Landseed International Hospital in 2006 and it was transformed as Neuroscience Center in 2020. The proposed Stroke Network coordinating the acute stroke service and endovascular thrombectomy expands to serve the patients of hospitals in northern Taiwan regions, including Taoyuan, Hsinchu and Miaoli to facilitate the acute treatment and to improve the prognosis. -
